5 Steps To Starting A Home Staging Business – Part 1

If you’re considering a career in home staging, you could be heading towards a bright future with many amazing opportunities. Even if the idea is still being tossed around inside your head, there’s plenty you can be doing now to help set yourself up for success if and when you decide to take the plunge and follow your passion.

Here are two of five steps you can take now, in the ‘idea generation’ phase of your home staging business, to help get you started.

1. Confirm that you have what it takes. You’ll want to find out if this is actually a field you want to pursue and whether or not you have the necessary skills and personality traits to succeed.

The Staging Diva® offers a free quiz to help you determine if home staging is for you and the Staging Diva® website also offers a free eCourse to help aspiring stagers build a successful business.

2. Start thinking of a name. It’s never too early to start dreaming up a name for your future home staging business. This is usually the most fun part of your start up journey, but you might find it challenging to find a name that isn’t taken already.

When you’ve thought of a name you love, do some searching to see if it’s already in use. You can do this free by searching on the Internet as a starting point.

In part two of this article series, you’ll learn about three additional steps you can take now to get your home staging business off the ground.
